The PCC Faculty Association (PCCFA) is an independent association not affiliated with corporate collective bargaining organizations like the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), California Teachers Association (CTA), or the American Association of University Professors (AAUP). The PCCFA is a member of the California Community College Independents (CCCI),  a consortium of fifteen other independent, community college collective bargaining groups from across California.  

Through CCCI, the PCCFA shares information, strategies, and approaches to common issues and working condition concerns. The President of CCCI represents Independents on the California Community College Consultation Council in Sacramento and the Council of Faculty Organizations (COFO). Through CCCI, the PCC Faculty Association has direct input into legislative advocacy and into policy-making processes of the system-wide Chancellor and Board of Governors of California Community Colleges.
