Whether you are a new or continuing part-time faculty, know that you have options with respect to your retirement, including choosing a retirement system in which to participate.  For PCC faculty, those options currently include STRS and APPLE per the District website:

The PCC Faculty Association cannot advise which retirement system you should select, but we do want to make you aware that you have a choice.  We encourage you to study your retirement system options carefully and choose the one that works best for you.
