Recently, you should have received in your email the “Notice to Employees Posted by Order of the Public Employment Relations Board” from the College (linked below).  This notice is in relation to the Faculty Association’s previous filing of an Unfair Practice Charge against the Pasadena Area Community College District.

The District chose not to appeal, and the notice distributed affirms the FA’s win in this case:

• PERB’s decision in favor of the FA is now final.  The District can no longer appeal the decision as the deadline for appeals has expired.  
• The FA and the District are working together in mediation to try to figure out the details of the backpay award. 
• If the parties cannot come to an agreement regarding backpay during mediation, PERB will then decide the specific backpay owed.
• As noted earlier, the FA and District have already agreed on a process to reinstate Winter 2024.
