At FA President Roger Marheine’s request, PCC President Rocha agreed to meet on Friday, February 8, 2013 for an informal luncheon  gathering.  FA leaders attempted to get clarification on the cancellation of Winter 2013 session, the inflated
class sizes this semester, the problem of Summer semester credits not transferring, and the low FTES (down 1200), which will prevent PCC from obtaining the full $6.7 million allotment from the passage of Prop 30.

Preston Rose, Krista Walter, Rob Lee, and Roger Marheine attended the lunch for the Faculty Association. The PCC President’s invited guests were VP Bob Miller, VP Bob Bell and AS President Dustin Hanvey.

A pre-negotiations lunch is common  for the two sides to establish collegiality before negotiations get underway.  The FA is pursuing all avenues of negotiation to arrive at a fair and equitable contract for all faculty.
