Negotiations Update from the Faculty Association – 11/3/22
In the District’s last proposal dated October 19, 2022 and as referenced in their October 25, 2022 memo, the District agreed to reopen their Article 4 Fringe Benefits proposal within 14 days after receiving guidance from the California Community College Chancellor’s Office regarding health benefits for part-time faculty.
Recently, the Chancellor’s Office issued preliminary guidance via their October 31, 2022 memo (“Changes to the Part-Time Faculty Health Insurance Program”). Now that the Chancellor’s Office guidance is out, the Faculty Association looks forward to the District’s proposal for part-time faculty healthcare soon.
