The following health care benefits information applies to part-time faculty:

• Enrollment in the District plan is optional.
• The District covers up to 80% while eligible part-time faculty members contribute 20% of the plan premium for Kaiser single party HMO plan (employee-only coverage).  
• Eligible faculty who choose to enroll in the above medical plan offered by the District have the option of adding dependents for coverage at an additional cost (not covered by the District).  
• These same faculty also have the option of purchasing a composite dental and/or vision plan that would cover faculty and any dependents at their own cost (not covered by the District).
• Eligible part-time faculty who do not wish to enroll in the Kaiser HMO Plan offered “will be automatically enrolled in Dental and Vision” at no cost to the employee according to the HR website.  
• Eligibility hinges upon part-time faculty teaching a minimum of 40% of full-time faculty load at PCC.
