Students are being told by the PCC Degree and Transfer Center not to assume that Summer 2013 can “make up” for incomplete or failed courses taken in the fall or spring, and to contact the transfer universities to find out. The Email to PCC Students from PCC Degree and Transfer Center states:

Please do not assume you can take courses in the summer 2013 and have those courses “make up” for courses you didn’t complete in fall 2012 or spring 2013.  Please contact the UC campus directly about their policies permitting summer course completion.

On August 29, 2012, the same night that the Board of Trustees cancelled Winter 2013 and imposed a three-term calendar in one fell swoop, Dr. Bob Bell assured students they would

…have a transfer level class at the end of the summer ready for consideration to a transfer university or institution…
