Calendar Committee holds Meeting Despite Abrupt Cancellation Earlier in the Week

“The decision to cancel the calendar committee meeting was mine … at the last two meetings … we never got to the business of the committee because of the discussion involving winter… I don’t disagree with the discussion, but we need to get to the business of the committee. That was my rationale [for cancelling the meeting].”

• Meeting was scheduled for Thursday, February 28, 2013.
• Calendar Committee Co-Chair, VP Bob Bell, cancelled the meeting on Tuesday without the consent or consultation with co-chair, Krista Walter.
• The meeting was cancelled before the agenda could be posted publicly.
• The draft of the agenda included a discussion of two calendars, one without Winter Intersession, one WITH Winter Intersession.
• Despite the abrupt cancellation, many of the committee members agreed to meet, even without the presence of Bob Bell.
• Next Calendar Committee Meeting has been set for Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 12PM.
