Fire Support Response
District Resources Available for Employees:
Emergency Financial Support For employees directly affected by the wildfires, we are offering a Payroll Advance Request. This provides up to $6,000 as a one-time, interest-free advance to address immediate financial needs. Please apply by February 28, 2025, to access this support promptly.
Natural Disaster Leave Guidelines We provide up to five days of paid leave for those directly impacted by natural disasters, offering immediate relief without the need to use accrued leave balances. For those requiring more time, up to ten days of additional unpaid leave is available, during which time benefits will be maintained and employees may use accrued leave in lieu of unpaid leave.
Catastrophic Leave Assistance In the spirit of community support, our Catastrophic Leave Donation Program enables employees with accrued leave to aid colleagues who are severely affected by emergencies. Donated leave credits are placed into a general pool and distributed to employees needing leave assistance. If you are in need, please apply using the Catastrophic Leave Request Form. This initiative is vital for those who have exhausted their leave credits and are facing significant disruptions.
Flexible Work Arrangements To accommodate your recovery needs, flexible work arrangements are available. For Hybrid work program modifications for staff and management, this can be initiated through the appropriate requests in NeoEd, ensuring you have the necessary support to manage your work and personal life during recovery periods.
Ongoing Emotional and Mental Health Support To address the emotional and mental toll of these events, we have arranged on-campus group counseling sessions through Anthem EAP on the following dates:
- January 13, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM
